jayegee replied: "you need a pill to start your period off and then you start clomid which will start off your ovulation.
Good Luck with it. . . I got preggers of my first cycle of tablets - i know i was lucky but it just goes to prove its possible. We had been trying years!"
Can being treated for infertility (Clomid to be exact) increase ur chance of having a "chemical pregnancy"? My hubby and I are TTC and my OB was treating me for infertility last month (Nov 08) was my first time using Clomid, didnt think it would work first time around but it did, I got a + HPT and a + Blood test on the 17th of Dec. However I started bleeding on xmas eve and now realize after research that I had a "chemical Pregnancy/miscarriage". My hubby n I wanted 2 start TTC hopefully next month assuming I have a reg period...my question is can be treated for infertility (taking meds) increase my chances of another chemical preg or possible miscarriage again??
in addition, sorry...I know it was a chemical preg/miscarriage bcuz I went in to ECC yesterday and my urine test was - and so was the blood test, my hcg levels were now less than 2...
So in response to one my one answer I received, is it safe to say that this would be considered a period and should I ovulate after and that I should be able to start TTC right away??
THank you!
Julie replied: "I'm sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. I suffered 2 miscarriages and at least one chemical pregnancy while TTC. I did end up with 3 healthy children though. Taking clomid won't increase your chances for this type of thing. However, women who are actively TTC are often testing for pregnancy much earlier than other women so we discover these chemical pregnancies where many other women may have just thought that their period was a week late. It's actually a fact that about 50% of all conceptions never implant and end up in a chemical pregnancy. It's just that most of them are never recognized. Good luck to you - you still have a great chance of having a successful pregnancy and it appears that the clomid did work for you which is great!"
